I had sushi for lunch today.

Haha, yeah. I'm really running out of actions for those. I need to have more interesting a life. Geez!

Anyway, what's up kids? I'm here to update, since it's been over a week or something, and that's bad. So here's how the past like... week or so has gone.

On Wednesday of last week, I flew to LaGuardia New York, and took a bus into the city. I met Francesca, her parents, and her friend Matilde, and we had dinner to celebrate Francesca's 17th birthday. Yikkkkkes. I can't believe how old everyone is. Rebecca, Leah, Francesca... It's insane.

So for that week, I chilled in New Jersey with Fran. We basically didn't do anything. It was Pessach (Passover), so basically we just had matzah and oranges, and occasionally some ice cream. It was yummy stuff! I think the best part of that trip was playing frisbee on Sunday at the park. "K. K. Good." or "Yeah, yeah, about that." or "You could have sat on that! Come on!" We got so good in an hour! Except we still kinda sucked. But it was better than the first few throws.

On Monday, I trained back into NYC and took a taxi to Laguardia, and then sat for three hours for my plane. Thanks, Gilbert (lol). Basically, I read the book we're reading for English (The Handmaid's Tale), and yeah. It was kinda boring. But LaGuardia is such a crappy airport! I mean, comparatively speaking, Toronto has a very nice airport. The one in Miami was pretty shitty too. Newark is nice though. But Toronto is the best, and not only the new terminal!

Yeah, that was a random rant about airports. Moving on...

So over all, I had lots of fun in New Jersey. Going back to school yesterday wasn't very fun. I don't really remember anything about Tuesday. In fact, it feels as though it didn't happen. Let me try and think... after school, Alexandra came over and we worked on our Gestion presentation... Um... Ooh!! I had Sign Language yesterday! My first class of level 1C. Yoos! It was fun stuff. We're learning "How to give directions" but in more detail than we learned before. Now it's over different floors in a building now!

Um, so yes. Today wasn't that interesting. I went out for lunch with Alexandra to celebrate her birthday that was on Saturday. She turned 16! Haha, I'm actually older than her! Mwahahaha. Uh... and then yeah. I skipped my last period class (Theorie de la connaissance) because we never do anything, I don't get a credit, and I didn't feel like staying. So yeah. That brought me here. Well, I took a shower when I got home, and THEN that brought me here. As far as updates go, this isn't all that interesting.

Haha, I'm listening to S Club 7. Oh Windows Media Player Shuffle...

Keydoke, kids. I'll catch y'all on the flip side.

SUMMER!!!!

I SKI INSTRUCTED today. Jan. 3rd, 2006 @ 07:13 pm
Oh my goodness. These kids are SOO cute. In my group, I have Sara, Callum, Chloe, Anastasia, Leal, and Brooke. Anastasia is sooo cute! She's really little, and wears all pink, and 7 years-old, so I have to help her onto the lift. And she's russian, so her English is accented and kind of halting, and she babbles on and on about everything, and it's SO cute. When we're in the lift line, I have to hold her hand and pull her along, because she doesn't move very fast on her own, and she goes "Yeah yeahyeahyeahyeah..." because she's nervous. It's so cute, I can't even tell you.

And then Brooke falls all the time, and can't get back up, so I have to like, pick her up, which is pretty annoying when I'm down the hill and she's sitting there in the middle of the hill struggling to get up, and so someone invariably has to help her. I really need to teach her how to get up, except I'm pretty bad at getting up myself without popping my ski.

I didn't really teach my kids anything today, but I will tomorrow. These kids are going to learn how to side slip, so help me. They don't even know to stand across the hill! They don't edge! It's insane! But they're much better than I expected, so that's good. They can all ride the lift, save for Anastasia, who just needs help staying on the chair. :)

But eating lunch is so difficult! These kids just LOVE talking at me. I'm trying to pay attention to everyone, and struggling to eat my sandwich. But since they're talking to me, I have to reply, and so I can't talk with my mouth full, and... sigh. I only got one half and a sliced apple in. But it was fun. By the time I got home though, I was STARRRVING. I woke up at 6 today, left at 7, and got back at 5:40.

Did I mention the part where my boss picks me up and drives me up with him? It's pretty... embarassing, I guess. I feel so... impose-y. But they live like, down the road, and my mom's not working Christmas Break, so she doesn't want to drive me... Bleah.

But. I LOVE TEACHING. I swear, it's the highlight of my life. It's so nice to finally be here.

I've gotta go finalise my Lesson Plan for tomorrow, so I'm off.

Later!

Sleepover at Tamar's 3rd Edition Oct. 10th, 2005 @ 12:25 am
I made tortellini for breakfast this morning with Simon, Kyle and Edwina.

I swear to buddha, I bust a gut from laughing so much last night and this morning. It was soooo much fun. Omd, where to start, I don't even know... Um, okay.

Yesterday, Kyle, Simon and Edwina came over. Then we went out, and we were soo hungry. On our way to the World of Posters, we went to Subway. Kyle chews really slowly, so by the end, I was forced to shove his last bit of sub into his mouth.

"Cram it! Cram it all in!"

Then we linked arms, and made an Impenetrable Chain.

"COMPRESS! EXPAND! SHIFT LEFT! SHIFT RIGHT! COMPRESS RAMMM CENTRE!"

The chain eventually evolved into a peroxide molecule, Simon and I being oxygen atoms, and Kyle and Edwina being hydrogen atoms. Yes. We're super science nerds, I've discovered.

This is going to be so abbreviated, it's not even funny. We already catalogued the highlights of the evening in The Book, so this isn't really for anyone... but still. It's worth it to write it down.

"LET ME SEE YOUR UNDERWEAR!"

Okay, so fast forward>>>>>>> We're going to get ice cream! EVERYTHING is funny, because we're a peroxide molecule.

"GAS! LIQUID! SOLID! WEED!"
"No. NO. GAS! GAS!"

And then these losers are all like, "What's so funny guys?" and Simon and I are like, "Your face!" and they're like, "hahahHAAAAAAAAAAAHahah," and we're like, "LOLOLOLOLOLAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Because them making fun of us laugh just made us laugh at them even harder. What a crazy cycle.

So fastforward again >>> Jeff and Kathryn are here! We are walking around, AKA heading to the park on Avenue. What did we do while we were there?

"LAUNCH! SPINNING TOP OF DOOOOOOM!"

"SPIRIT FINGERS!!!"

And we took some pictures. And then we decided that if all the lights went out suddenly, Simon and Kyle would be the first ones to be raped, because they were wearing bright colours, AKA: red.

Then we stood in a circle on the corner of the street and cult-ed it up a bit. On our way back... let me just say this: U OF T BUILDINGS ARE SCARY TO THE MAXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

"AMI-" "AAAAAAAAAH!!! //SCREAM" "-TYVILLE HORROR!!"

And that super freaky red glow-y door.

"Red with the blood of one HUNDRED BILLION corpses."

And that other super-scary looking Christian college.

"The house of one HUNDRED TRILLION corpses. That's how many people they killed in the last two sentences."

And that OTHER super-scary looking church.

"The church of NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE BILLION TRILLION corpses x10 ^16."
"Plus one."
"Ground to a fine paste."

And that brings us to the late-night circle talk in the middle of the carpet in my living room. With Cosmo magazine. And quizzes. About sex. How could it NOT have been funny?

Highlights:
- SNORING FISH.
- "If you ever find yourself saying 'Oh, Bob,' you need to seriously re-evaluate your life."
- //Cat call, "Sexual connotationnnns!" "WHAT CONNOTATIONS? IT'S SO STRAIGHTFORWARD."
- Gender Confused Lips Guy
- "Guys, you need to stop drinking... Without me."
- "She could undress."
- "Did you just fart? 'Cause you blew me away!"
- I'm So Whipped. "No, I'm just paralyzed."
- "Tranny."
- //Shoulder twitch "If I ever talk like this, please shoot me."
- "White people don't pay their income taxes because not doing so is illegal, they do it so they don't get fat."
- Smeg. 'Nuff said.

Then this morning was also fun, but not as much. But still fun, make no mistake.

Highlights:
- (8) Don't you dare put yo' ass on me!
- "We've concluded that noises make Kyle itchy."
- "Gasp!" "Gasp!" "Gasp!" "DAAAH!"
- Walking to the convenience store as a peroxide molecule, but ALL OF US IN PYJAMA PANTS. Oh yeah. We're cool like that.
- That baby giving us a dirty look for us all being in pyjama pants, thinking: "I hope I NEVER grow up to be like you."
- "Deny you access, Warrick? Never."

I'm sure there are much much much much much more, but I can't think of anything else, 'cause I'm too lazy. But all in all, I must say, t'was a most splennnnndid evening, and I hope we do something like that again soooooon. W007! That, or we should all live together in uni.

(Haha, you owe me!)

I fell asleep in Economy today. Feb. 9th, 2005 @ 11:30 am
So what else is new?

Well! Let me tell you all about my day! So, I woke up in the morning as per usual, and dragged my tired ass out of bed. On my way to school, I noticed (or rather heard) the REALLY loud fire trucks driving in abundance in my school's generation. To my surprise... my school was their exact destination!

All the students were at the back of the street behind the school-type place. At 8:40 we went to class. So not only did we miss 10 minutes of Economy, but all the periods today were 10 minutes shorter because we had Enseignant Guide, which is kinda like TAP but it's some Wednesday or another, at random intervals. I dunno, it's pretty random.

Anyway, so I had Economy (only 40 minutes!) and then I had Math where I was tired, but I learned some new stuff, which was pretty cool. I found out that Wesley can only read orange clocks (...???).

On my way to my third period class (Civics), I made a pitstop at my locker to dump off some stuff. Just as I opened my lock, the fire alarm goes off AGAIN! Someone pulled it again!!

Now, usually, this would be pretty cool, but I was so annoyed! You know how much money the school pays for false alarms? 400$ fine!! And TWICE in 3 hours? That's 800$ right off the bat! 800$ that could be used for something COOL, like instruments, or computers or stuff. And they blow it on getting out of class for 10 minutes, which they have to spend outside in the cold anyway? GAH!

In any case, it was Paul's brother, who got suspended. I'm glad.

Anyway, so I had Civics, and then Lunch, and then French, and then this foire type thing for course selections. T'was pretty random, and uneventful.

So then we had art, and I'll give you three guesses as to what M. Landry.

....

....

....

If you guessed that he didn't show -- YOU'RE RIGHT. And this time, we stayed the whole time waiting for him, and 5 minutes before the school ended, we called down to the bureau and they're like "Oh yeah, we'll ask him," and we were like "...???" so we ran out of the class (I didn't really get it, but it was funny). On our way out, we ran into him (after school ended) and we were like, "M. Landry, why didn't you show up?" and he replied with "Oh! J'ai pense que la classe etait CANCELLE!" Now, if you spoke french, you'd know that 'canceller' is not how you say 'cancelled'. The correct word would be 'annuler'. BAH! What a douchebag. And it would be slightly more understandable had there NOT BEEN AN ANNOUNCEMENT telling everyone to go to their last period class!!!

Whatever.

So I went home, and I had an idea. I knew that Wesley was going to Chapters in my building, since he'd told me. I waited so that we could go together but he was so slow that I just left.

Anyway, on my way home, I thought of an idea! I knew he was going to look for a music book, and I knew where that section was, so I went home, got some post-its and wrote his name and some messages on them. I then went into Chapters. I was on the escalator between the 2nd and 3rd floor and looked down to see him on the escalator between the 1st and 2nd floor!! Luckily, he hadn't spotted me. I then RAN for it, to get to the music section before he got there. I stuck the post-it on the bookshelf (and got a funny look from someone standing there) and then snuck my way through the bookshelves, at the far left where he wouldn't be walking. I waited a few minutes and then poked my head around to see if I could go, and he was standing several feet away looking at a book at a stand. I waited a few more minutes, and not-seeing him, I ran downstairs and home.

I don't know if he found the post-its.

I hope he did.

It was so much fun, though.

He'll definitely know it was me, since I wrote "Weeeeeeesley!" on one of them, and I always say that to him.

Hah! So much fun!

Anyway, I'm going to a Toronto Symphony Orchestra performance now, so I'll catch y'all on da flip saaah-ide.

Later!

» I saw Bright Eyes!
I saw Bright Eyes LIVE in concert today.

Oh yes. Yes it's true. I know you're jealous, and you should be. Also, I am FINALLY back online. Let me take you through the day, shall I?

Woke up, fast forward, end of school! Ran home, brushed my teeth for no apparent reason, got stuff ready, and then waited. And waited. And waited. I did some knitting, played some piano, made Jeff some food, and waited. I then called Susan and ranted about how late Jeff was, and then made a song out of how I was gonna kill him. It went along the lines of "I'm going to keeeell you, Jeff. I'm going to keeeel yoooou." Susan enjoyed it.

Anyway, Jeff FINALLY came, and Pegah was there, too. I gave him his instant noodles, because I thought that he wouldn't have time to eat, so I made him Kimchi. It was the last bowl. Yes, Susan, it's already gone.

So Pegah, Jeff and I set on our way. We went to College station where we randomly met up with Yamina who goes to my school. It was so weird! I knew she was going to the concert, but we'd only spoken like three times, and when I tapped her on the shoulder, she gave me a hug. Now, if she were the type of person that gave everyone hugs, I'd understand, but she isn't.

So then we all went on the streetcar, and followed some random people to the Phoenix, since we didn't know where the hell to go. It was very effective, I must say. We got there without incident.

We got in line, and within 10 minutes were at the door when we found out that CAMERAS WERE NOT ALLOWED (omfd) and I had DROPPED MY TICKET! So, my fingers were numb because I took my gloves to search through my pocket, I had to figure what to do with my MOM'S digital camera, and it was freaking FREEZING. We went to the road where Yamina was randomly, and I mentioned how I'd dropped my ticket, and it turned out SHE HAD IT! Man, it was crazy. Someone's looking out for me, I gotta say. Anyway, so then I got the door, and the lady was like, 'Do you have a camera on you?' and I was like 'Yes.' I AM SUCH AN IDIOT. If I hadn't SAID anything, SHE WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN. So I had to wait in line again so that I could check my camera instead of throwing it out, because then I'd be so screwed.

Once I'd checked my camera, I found Jeff, and we checked our coats. Then we went into the big room and found Pegah. This random band called Tilly And The Wall was playing. They were very random, but there was this cool girl who made the beat with her shoes. As in, some bands have drums, this band had a tap dancer. It was pretty original.

There was also this cute keyboard guy, but it was difficult to see if he had a mustache, because it looked like he did, but the lighting was weird, and it was so faint, but we decided that if it even LOOKED like he had a mustache, he wasn't up to par. We then advised Jeff to not grow a mustache.

Pegah and I then tried to figure out the romantic liasons of the band, because it was bound to happen. But before I tell them to you, this is how the stage looked.

Un-washed guy on guitar...Dancer girl...Fructis Girl...Blonde Girl...Keyboard Guy

Okay, Fructis Girl is called that because I think she looks like she comes out of a Fructis commercial. Jeff thinks she was really pretty.

So!

Scenario One: Blonde Girl likes Keyboard Guy (as demonstrated by her continuous stare in his direction)

Scenario Two: Un-washed Guy likes Dancer Girl (we just thought it would fit)

Scenario Three: "Thing" between Un-washed Guy (who BTW looks constipated when he plays guitar) and Keyboard Guy. It could happen.

We determined that Fructis Girl had someone off stage.

After Tilly and The Wall, it was Coco Rosey. Now this band was WEIRD. It was three people. Some woman who played the harp (in one song) and sang like, opera, and whistled, and this other girl who had this CRAZY WEIRD voice that was super high/ baby like / just play creepy and this guy who was beat-boxing in the back, and who was THE coolest ever, because in one song, he rapped in French, and it just made my day.

But on this screen, the band was showing this WEEEEEEEEEIRD video where all the people had stars of david on their foreheads, and they were shooting out rainbows and blood, and zebras were getting raped by horses (no joke) and ... I don't even KNOW. I kept trying to figure it out. There were a lot of horses. I think the horses represented freedom, but they were caged in, and I don't know where the zebras play into it, and why the horses are raping them... And why all the people have stars of david on their forehead, and there was this ONE page, where there was a Cross, and underneath it wrote "the kriminal" and I was like 'Woah!'

Oh oh, there was also the song and it went like this, "Jesus loves me, but not my wife, or my negro friend, something something something, Jesus loves me, that's for sure, because The Bible told me so."

Anyway, so once Coco Rosey or whatever went off, everyone started pushing EVERYONE. There was this really annoying girl in front of me who was stepping on my feet, and I had to hold on to Jeff's elbow, but we got seperate from Pegah, and then CONOR came out.

Let me just say this: He was so good.

From all the songs that I'd heard live of him, I thought he was gonna SUCK. But he was loud enough, and he carried the tune, and he looked great! And he was drinking on stage (beer) and spitting all over the place, and when he was singing, EVERYONE was quiet, just caught in his music (or at least I was) and all you could hear was him.

And SO MANY people ha cameras. UGH. I'm such an idiot.

But Conor was amazing. He kept looking at something off stage, and it looked like he was looking at someone, and I kept trying to figure out who it was, but I couldn't figure it out.

But Jeffy and I were pretty close. 4 people away from the stage, and had a perfect view of Conor.

Holy hell, guys. My back was KILLING. And my FEET. And my KNEE. I love Bright Eyes, but I barely knew the songs he was singing (he didn't even play Haligh or Lover I Don't Have To Love), and I kept going 'Finally, last song!' but it never was!!!

They played Road To Joy last, at least that's what Jeff tells me.

So THEN, when the concert was over (I have to say though, Conor was SOOOO OOOO OOOO good) I went to get my coat, and then I got a CD for 15$ (Digital Ash in a Digital Urn) and Jeff, Pegah and I left!

This concludes the evening, and I hope Pegah posts her pics soon. Wah, I can't believe I told them about the stupid camera! I'm SUCH AN IDIOT!!!

My neck, back, and knee hurt.

Skiing tomorrow!

Good to be back online.

Love you guys!
» I stayed home sick today.
My head hurts like a bitch. And it's only getting worse becaues in the apartment beside they're drilling NON-STOP and it's THE most annoying thing EVER. And it's only worse because I'm trying to watch TV and it's loud loud loud, because I can't hear anything. Shit, it's so annoying.

Anyway, I felt like I should post because I haven't in forever. I'll tell you about my weekend. On Satruday, I woke up at 6:15 a.m. (bleah) and I got ready for skiing. I slept on the way there. Actually, it was pretty funny, because at frist Reese was sitting beside me, and I fell asleep on the window, and then when I woke up a half hour later, he was gone. It was great. I got to stretch out on the double seats. It was very nice.

Once we got to Blue Mountain, I got my skiis from under the bus, and I met up with the rest of the group. When I got to the Instructor Training area, there were Phil and Dave. My two favourite instructors. Phil was like "Ah, Tamar. I've been waiting for her to take IT since I met her a few years ago." So have I.

In any case, my instructor was absent because he's sick, so my group got Jordan instead. Man, he rules! He taught us the 5 basis of skiing. Stance and balance (fore, and aft, lateral, vertical and rotational). Pivoting. Edging. Timing and coordination. Pressure Control. It's all really interesting. But skiing was so intense. One of the last runs, by the time I got to the bottom, I could barely stand. It's cuz conditions were really crappy, and there were tons of bumps, and that's a shit load of pressure control. But damn, it was fun!

Anyway, when I got home, I hurt EVERYWHERE and I was so tired, and I went to sleep at 11 because I spent some time with Kinneret because she was leaving the next day to go back to Queen's. But I conked out so fast.

Anyway, yesterday (Sunday) I woke up at 12 (read: 13 hours for sleep) and I lazed about and then I went to Carly's and it was fun.

In any case, I'm watching Anger Management on TMN on Demand, and it's just like... yup. It's rather funny.

Yay! I just realized that the drilling stopped! This is great!

K, I'm hungry and bored. I gotta go. Bye bye!
» Late Night Conforming
Yes well, I knew this day would come soon. And it only seems fair, sort of, because Vanessa conformed to Xanga, therefore I feel I owe her. And anyway, it makes it easier to comment on ppl's pages. Damn you PSYL-ers. But I still love you guys.

I wonder if anyone would actually read this to begin with. I think I'll just copy-paste my Xanga posts. Why change anything? That's just SUCH a bother. So! In light of that:

I did some Science homework today.

Isn't that absolutely fascinating? I know you're so interested, that you could die.

Actually, the homework was pretty hard and I did a lot of it wrong, but I'm gonna wait for when we're in-class so that I can ask. I think it's a Work Period today, anyway.

So! Hello! I am back! I'm sorry about my extended absence, I know it's weird when I don't post every-other day or whatever. I was in New Jersey though, visiting Francesca and it was lots of fun! On New Year's Eve, we played Scrabble and watched I Love The 90's, which is the best show on VH1. I wish they had it in Canada. Such a good show. We also went to New York on my birthday, so that we could go skating in Central Park/Rockefeller Centre, but it was so packed that we just walked around on 5th Avenue. Tons of fun!

Speaking of birthdays, HAPPY BELATED B-DAY VINI! I tried to call you the day of, but NONE OF YOUR NUMBERS WORK, you loser. I hope you're feeling better!

In other news, I got some of my marks back for exams. I scored somewhere in the high 70's/low 80's on everything, except Math, where all I know is that I got ''much higher than 85'' which is all M. Morvan will tell me. But! I got my final mark for Science back, and it's an 86!!! I'm very pleased with that, 'cause I know there's only space for improvement. And with all the adjusting of language and habit that I've been doing... 86 is freakin' AWESOME mark! So HAH!

I also know that I did very well in Music, because M. Landry hinted at it. And he loves me.

Speaking of M. Landry (AKA: the music teacher that is so incompetent I'm surprised he can dress himself) has replaced my ART teacher, so now, instead of three times, I see him SIX times a week. And he doesn't know a single thing about Art. At all! And while I'll probably get better marks this way, I won't acquire any skills, which is surprisingly annoying. You know what the first thing he brought up was? Painting the classroom. Ring any bells, guys? Remember how I also painted the music room? Gaaaaah. He's like... the school's version of an Interior Designer. It pisses me off so freaking much!!!!!!

Damn, I hate his teaching methods. So incompetent.

So anyway... that's about all I have to say... How did everyone's breaks go?

EDIT***

Did you know that if you search "M. Landry" and Xanga, my site comes up? That's pretty scary. Ah well.

EDIT***

Omd. Landry has topped himself with stupidity. He didn't even SHOW UP for our last period art class. Well, he was 20 minutes late, so we all just left. We put all the chairs up on the desk, turned of all the lights, wrote a message on the board ("Sorry you missed us. - Art Class (last period) and then we snuck out, in a straight line, tip-toeing to our lockers and then out the school. On my way out, Christian told us that M. Landry showed up and was wondering where everyone went, but I left anyway. Ah well. Who cares.

In other news: R.I.P Marie Dubeau.
